Oliver Lee OBE
Chief Executive Officer
Oliver is responsible for the executive leadership of The Challenge. He joined the organisation in 2014 after 20 years in the Royal Marines, from which he retired as a colonel. He served in Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan, including in command of 45 Commando Group and the coalition forces in Nad-e-Ali District, Helmand Province. He also worked on the personal staffs of the Chief of Defence Staff and Ministers.
Oliver has a degree in geography from Jesus College, Cambridge. He has been an appeal councillor at the National Memorial Arboretum, is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a member of the Pilgrims Society and a non-executive director of the Business Services Association.
In his spare time, he enjoys attempting to tire out his two sons, as well as hill walking and watching rugby.
