Can we afford to invest in bringing people together? (Part 3)

Answer: Yes, in fact it often makes money.

Just look at the National Citizen Service.  Every summer, National Citizen Service brings together local teenagers from all ethnic and income groups come together, build lasting friendships and make their mark in their community.

And the money? Well, here’s the good bit. The employability skills gained and volunteering hours given mean that every pound spent returns two pounds.

Bringing people together doesn’t need to cost money. In fact, often the opposite is true.
