On July 3, Challenge graduates took part in an event entitled ‘The Big Conversation’. The event, held at the Royal Festival Hall, was organised by the Office for Civil Society and Business in the Community. Over 30 Challenge graduates joined other graduates of the National Citizen Service as they met top business leaders to scope opportunities for work experience and gain careers advice.

Graduates impressed those present as they reflected on their NCS experience and how it can help young people get into work. Delegates also shared their thoughts on how work experience can become inspiration for future careers.

The event was a great success as graduates benefited from one-to-one conversations with top CEOs and Chairmen who explained their pathways to success and gave tailored careers advice. Graduate Sohaib Rahmathullah stated “It was really great to have the chance to actually speak to such powerful people. Thank you for the opportunity – I’d definitely recommend doing a similar event in the future”.
