Do you and your friends have an idea to make things better in your local community?

If a group of you are interested in forming a Youth Action Team, getting funding and support to continue any project of YOUR choice to make a difference in your local community then you have come to the right place!

What do you need to do? It’s pretty simple. All you need to do is:

1. Get some friends together

2. Think of an idea for the £300 which will make a difference in your local community and

3. Let us know what your idea is using the form below

What you can get if your idea is successful

  • Support from The Challenge
  • A Team Mentor
  • Venue for meeting
  • Project funding from O2 Think Big which gives you:

– Up to £300

– Access to online training and support from O2 Helpers

– Chances to win gig tickets and other goodies

– The opportunity to apply for Think Bigger, which provides up to £2500 for you to take your project to the next level

– Website space to advertise your project

CHECKLIST BEFORE APPLYING……

  • Is your idea realistic with a budget of up to £300?
  • Will your project be based in the UK and impact people outside of the project team?
  • Do you have at least two members of your team who are Challenge Graduates (or about to become them)?
  • Is your team at least 5 people?
  • Will your project start within 3 months of receiving the funding and be completed within 6 months?

If you can answer YES to all of these then apply now!

How to apply

You don’t have to have all the details of your idea finalised yet, but you will need an idea which is achievable within a budget of up to £300.  Have a look at the checklist, if you can tick all of the boxes then fill out the application form below by 1st November 2011.

What next?

We will review all applications at the start of November and be in touch to let you know the outcome.

If you are successful then we will assign you a Team Mentor who will help you develop your idea and apply for the O2 Think Big funding.  Then it is over to you (with support from your Team Mentor) to put your project into action!
