On Wednesday 15th February, over 100 people attended a community art festival organised by Challenge graduates from Blackburn, Bury, Preston and Wigan. The event was entitled ‘CommunARTy’ and was held at The Salvation Army in Preston.

Graduates and their friends gathered to take part in an art and fundraising extravaganza, aimed at getting young people thinking creatively about their local area. Other activities on the day included live entertainment by resident youth bands and regeneration of Ribbleton Park in association with Preston City Council. Monies raised were donated to local charities The Brick (Wigan) and Nightsafe (Blackburn), who support the homeless and Dovedale Pride, who collect food and clothing for young people in Preston.

It was great to see so many young people coming together in support of their local area.
