On Saturday 10th March, 27 graduates took to the streets of Leamington Spa to highlight the issue of domestic violence. The event was organised to coincide with International Women’s Day and received coverage in the Leamington Observer.

Getting arty in Preston

On Wednesday 15th February, over 100 people attended a community art festival organised by Challenge graduates from Blackburn, Bury, Preston and Wigan. The event was entitled ‘CommunARTy’ and was held at The Salvation Army in Preston.
On Wednesday 15th February, graduates joined local councillors, charities and community groups at The View Tube, located near the Olympic Park for the official launch of The Challenge in East London. For the first time this year, 675 school leavers in the boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Newham, Redbridge…
On Thursday 16th February, 109 Challenge graduates took part in a mass overnight sleep out. The event, entitled ‘Street Dreams’, was organised by the Birmingham Challenge Society Youth Board and highlighted the plight of young people at risk of becoming homeless.
Saturday 21st January saw the launch of Challenge Community Action Teams. The new initiative is being run in collaboration with the ‘O2 Think Big’ campaign which allows 13-25 year olds to turn their ideas into reality. Budding social entrepreneurs are given up to £300 as well as training and support…
The Challenge Network, in partnership with vInspired, Catch 22 and London Youth, was recently awarded a £964,000 grant from the Social Action Fund to support on-going opportunities for NCS graduates and their friends.
On Thursday 15th December, 12 Challenge graduates were given the opportunity to speak out at a Model United Nations debate.
