HeadStart and Young Refugees
The Young Refugee project builds on the existing HeadStart model working with local organisations to build the confidence and skills of young refugees and help them into future employment. They participate in a social action project or volunteering in their local communities.
Alongside the volunteering, they take part in workshops that focus on employability skills such as creating a CV and interview techniques. At the end of the programme, they have a chance to interview for a part-time or full-time paid job.

HeadStart is the natural extension to the NCS experience that challenges you to complete 16 hours or more of volunteering. In return, you get access to skills, a guaranteed job interview and the opportunity of meeting different people.
HeadStart Action uses social action and employer encounters to support and inspire young people aged 14-18 years who are at risk of becoming not in education, employment or training (NEET).
