About the opportunity

The Central Operations Associate will work at the centre of our efforts.  Activities will touch all of our functions, especially our marketing and staffing efforts.  This is a great opportunity to see how a whole business works and drive the organisation’s ability to operate at national scale.

The Central Operation Associate’s primary responsibilities are:

  • Coordinating mass and individualised communications with applicants, participants, parents and summer staff
  • Managing applications and associated information (medical, consent, references, CRB, financial, contractual) for prospective staff and participants from first contact through to start date
  • Managing content in central information systems and on our web site
  • Scheduling interviews and other selection activities for prospective summer staff members
  • Co-ordinating or supporting activities at schools, clubs, universities and careers/volunteering fairs

About you

We are looking for exceptional candidates with the following experience and characteristics:

Essential:

  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong written communication skills and fluency with written and spoken English
  • Comfort with standard computer tools like Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Great attention to detail, even when handling large volumes of information
  • Willingness to jump into new things, as well as patience to give full effort to ‘routine’ things
  • Ability to identify and implement real-time improvements to office processes
  • Beneficial:

    • Office work experience
    • Customer service experience
    • Familiarity working with databases and reports
    • Power user’ skills in Microsoft office or Google apps tools

    Further details

    • This is a permanent full time role based in London, starting in October, 2010.
    • Salary for the role is £21k per year.  We also offer a stakeholder pension, a Cycle to Work scheme and opportunities for flexible working.
