Curriculum Coordinator

Date: 1 March 2012 – 30 June 2012 (four months fixed contract)
Salary: £14,000 per annum pro rata (£4,666 total)

We are looking for a Curriculum Coordinator, who can pick up new ideas quickly and is able to be an independent worker. Their tasks will require a technical thinker, as well as the ability to write in a clear understandable way.

Our goal is to ensure that ‘The Challenge’ Programme becomes a national programme in which all sixteen year olds want to take part.

This role is part of the Curriculum Team, who oversees all central content for the summer programme including logistics and training.

About the role

The Programmes intern will report directly to the Systems and Innovation Manager and will undertake a series of projects. These will include:
• Sourcing and Purchasing the national equipment.
• Updating and re-writing documents used by the summer staff.
• Updating the training material used by the summer staff.

About you

We are looking for an effective intern with a passion for youth work and have a strong attention to detail.
• Flexible Team-worker: Able to work well with others and take time to understand end-users and other’s opinions.
• Knowledge of working with young people: Ideally has knowledge of The Challenge summer programme, or other residential youth work.
• Experience of training: Has some knowledge of training or teaching a group.
• Time management, needs to be able to organise themselves and work to tight deadlines.
